…I was not feeling well this Wednesday (some head and stomache ache) and therefore I skipped the fighters practise. Otti, our Marshall, who also carries the loaner armour in his car and overlooks the fighters practise will be on vacation next week and therefore there will be no training next week also … and last but not least in two weeks I will be visiting Janette and Volker in Hamburg because they are celebrating their medieval wedding (3-7.Sept) and maybe there will be a possibility for a fighters practise and therefore I took my “Turtle” with me from the fighters practise – maybe, if I get to know about a practise I will take it to Hamburg with me…

…ok, back to my “Turtle” – Otti bought one of this protections for himself and it works really fine for him – it gives some extra protection to the shoulders, the elbows,… and especially to the spinal column and is very light and handy and than he told me that he also catched a small female “Turtle” protection on eBay and I asked him to take it with him that I can try it and yes, after trying it, this “Turtle” is mine now

…btw. I am still working at the padding of my gambeson und Otti also found some armour parts (collar, shoulder, arm and leg armour) that, after some further adjustment to my body, I will buy from his stash.
During my stay in London Gyles helped me to order a helmet for me – hopefully it will be finished around March/April next year

…and now to another important part – it took some time but now I have nearly everything I need to build my first sword
…and I also took a look at my tools and I think I have everything I need to finish it except some pipe clips (right word for it?) to fix the basket to the rattan
