Finally I got a scan of my 2nd AoA scroll from Aryanhwy:
- calligraphy by Lady Aryanhwy merch Catmael
and I love it!!!
isn’t it beautiful?!
the beautiful calligraphy really enriches the painting and I think the scroll looks great now
Maybe some of you remember the illumination for my second AoA scroll – because I was afraid to mess up the illumination with my calligraphy at beginner level I asked for help and Lady Aryanhwy merch Catmael offered to do the calligraphy for me.
Soon a detailed picture of the scroll will be sent to me – because the scroll was given to its recipient last weekend at the ‘Stoertebeker’s Sons’ event and by courtesy of Lord Raphe Cuthbert, who took the picture, I may share this photo with you:

I try to finish my projects one by one now, therefore I started to work at my second scroll again and here is the progress – but I am not sure if I should also try to do the calligraphy.
…and again some new progress concerning my second scroll – hope you like it
(some whitework at her dress, the whitework of the bird, …)
…and to be able to continue working with enthusiasm and happiness at my embroidery projects I need different projects (without needles and thread involved) to work at from time to time – for example: illumination
I found a detail picture of a lovely illumination in one of my books and decided to make my 2nd scroll – I have no idea concerning the calligraphy at the moment nor the artwork of the initials, because I only have a detail picture of the illumination itself and I don’t know how the rest of the page looks like, but I hope Mistress Bridget or one of the other great illumination & calligraphy artisans of our great kingdom will give me a hint
…btw. that’s one of the pergamenata sheets that Mistress Bridget sent me – they arrived some days ago
